A FINELY ENGRAVED AIR TWIST CIDER GOBLET

The generous bucket bowl engraved all around with an elaborate border of scrollwork and polished anthemions hung with festoons of fruit and flowers, including apples and grapes, on a multi-spiral air twist stem and conical foot.

- Literature A faceted wine glass engraved to the rim with a very similar border of scrollwork and polished anthemions which incorporates stylised apple branches is illustrated by Geoffrey Walton, English Cider and Perry Glasses of the 18th Century (2023), p.57, no.26.
