A MAJESTIC PAIR OF GILT & BRONZE LION CANDLESTICKS

A pair of bronze plinth candlesticks, each gracefully poised upon by a finely cast, gilt-bronze recumbent lion figure, exuding a sense of power and classical emblems of strength and guardianship. From the sculptural plinth rises a fluted bronze stem, adorned with a gilt acanthus leaf capital supporting elegant scrolling branches.
